Giuseppe Zanotti Design pastel blue suede wedges

It’s 2012, but Giuseppe Zanotti Design pastel blue suede wedges (= scarpe con la zeppa blu pastello) from the spring/summer 2011 collection are still one of my favourites.

Much loved by celebrities and the international jet-set, the Italian shoe designer was influenced by his tailor mum, but surprinsingly he started his career as a DJ playing music for seven-eight years! Luckly Giuseppe Zanotti decided to freelance sketching shoes giving us the most fashionable shoes in the world!

Sheath dress fashion illustration

Below is a fashion illustration I made for a family’s friend, who went to a dinner party. She asked me to design a sheath dress (= tubino) incorporating a bow.

She looked gorgeous!!!

Happy sparkling weekend!

London Fashion Week A/W 2012: Fyodor Golan full skirt dress illustration in Amelia’s Magazine

Spread the word: my Fyodor Golan full skirt dress fashion illustration appeared in Amelia’s Magazine under the London Fashion Week A/W 2012 catwalk review.

Fashion Fringe winners, the fashion design duo Fyodor Golan presented Welcome to the Machine, a Russian- inspired collection.

Strong palette, mixture of textures and rich embellishments, the collection is a must-see at London Fashion Week 2012! No secret that it was love at first sight when I saw Fyodor Golan full skirt dress!!!

Be a ballerina in Oscar de la Renta

Simply divine! The ballerina dress from Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 is breathtaking. I am not really impartial as I dreamt of becoming a ballerina when I was a child. So everything related to that field is kind of attraction.

I was reading my tweets and a picture from OscarPRgirl sounded like a doctor’s prescription! Et voilà! The ballerina dress fashion illustration from Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012.

Dominican born fashion designer Oscar de la Renta amazed his fans with this collection. Pastel colours and full skirts are my favs! The ballerina dress on top of them, of course!

At Fashionista you can see the entire Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 collection from New York Fashion Week! Enjoy it!

Crivelli Gioielli earrings to shine like an emerald

Give away your heart for St Valentine’s with Aspinal of London heart-shaped key ring

From luxury designer handbag to inexpensive St Valentine’s gift for your lover with Aspinal of London heart-shaped key ring (=portachiavi a forma di cuore). Obvious colour but distinctive – red – and British brand.

Even if sold at £20, the fashion label Aspinal of London is indeed a luxury leather goods and accessories company that launched heart-shaped key rings like the one in the illustration that I own. A gift that I have attached to my bag! ;-)

I have discovered the fifth best british luxury brand Aspinal of London at Selfridges two years ago when a purple mock crocrodile Italian calf leather diary attracted my attention like a magnet.  After spending an hour looking at the wonderful collections of handbags, my friend ended up buying a Barbarella black patent leather wallet. Simply divine!

Browse Aspinal of London heart-shaped key rings from the new collection (see the new version of the red one with golden hardware) and give away your favourite to your lover!

Happy St Valentine’s Day!

Valentino Aphrodite bow bag to celebrate St Valentine’s Day

Colour of love and excitment, red is almost everywhere this time of the year. St Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I guess most couples are planning their evening out at their favourite restaurant, which has been offering great deals since early January!

I believe most of the girls have already chosen their stunning outfit for the night, that pick to make him fall down at their feet. Accessories are as important as the dress, so my pick for a St Valentine’s Day even more memorable is the Valentino Aphrodite bow bag (=borsa col fiocco), which is made of leather and comes with golden hardware. The bow is a detail that makes the bag so romantic!

I was surfing the net for bow bags and the Valentino Aphrodite bow bag appeared on Neiman Marcus. I suddenly felt the urge of drawing a fashion illustration for St Valetine’s Day as the name itself recalls the Greek goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite, and nothing would have been more appropriate!

The Valetino Aphrodite bow bag is matched with a pair of killer shoes: anthracite suede 12cm stiletto heeled shoes with red ankle strap by Marta Madaiva! The association of my shoes with the Valetino bag makes me smile!

Anyway, a red bag and matched shoes are The Essentials for St Valentine’s Day 2012!

Countdown to Bluewater Wedding Fair 2012 with a bare back wedding dress

Only one day to go until the first Wedding Fair hosted at Glow, Bluewater’s new exhibition centre, starts.

Still undecided? The 4-day Bluewater Wedding Fair is by far the best place to get inspired for your big day! From wedding planners to stylists, you will find everything you need to create the perfect atmosphere with special details that will make your guests’ mouth dropped open in amazement!

Who will be that bride-to-be who dares to wear a bare back wedding dress like the one in the bridal illustration? Is that a Jenny Packham or Stewart Parvin wedding dress? None of the two! It’s a Marta Madaiva wedding dress, especially designed for Bluewater Wedding Fair. Made of silk chiffon, the wedding dress is marked by the particularities of the encrusted crystals and bare back (=schiena nuda).  The three-quarter silk tulle veil and the crystal headpiece are two must accessories. The veil could not be missed out for the ceremony!

Don’t miss the most unique features of the Bluewater Wedding Fair: the catwalk themes and the Lancome Pampering Experience where you will have product offers and consultant make-up advice. The ideal treat to start planning your special occasion!

What are you waiting for? Grab your ticket and come along!

Victoria silk taffeta wedding dress

I have opted for the name Victoria for the silk taffeta wedding dress below as the inspiration comes from the Victorian Age when the social class was revealed by the material and cut of the dresses. (I am easily influenced by the books I have read about that period!!!)

The silk taffeta wedding dress has not the traditional white or ivory colour. I thought the combination of taffeta and pink could add that romantic style that I was looking for the full half ruffled skirt. I love how pink fades in white. The bodice has a heart-shaped neckline and is covered with crystals.

The Victoria silk taffeta wedding dress wouldn’t have completed without a short silk tulle veil covered with crystals.

The groom wears a black tuxedo with antique gold bottons which focus attention on the gold embroired silk shirt. The metallic silk tie adds the shiny effect.

As I love pink I have been asked if that was my dream wedding dress…no, nothing has been planned in my mind… That day has not come yet! ;-)
