Sheath dress fashion illustration

Below is a fashion illustration I made for a family’s friend, who went to a dinner party. She asked me to design a sheath dress (= tubino) incorporating a bow.

She looked gorgeous!!!

Happy sparkling weekend!

London Fashion Week A/W 2012: Fyodor Golan full skirt dress illustration in Amelia’s Magazine

Spread the word: my Fyodor Golan full skirt dress fashion illustration appeared in Amelia’s Magazine under the London Fashion Week A/W 2012 catwalk review.

Fashion Fringe winners, the fashion design duo Fyodor Golan presented Welcome to the Machine, a Russian- inspired collection.

Strong palette, mixture of textures and rich embellishments, the collection is a must-see at London Fashion Week 2012! No secret that it was love at first sight when I saw Fyodor Golan full skirt dress!!!

Be a ballerina in Oscar de la Renta

Simply divine! The ballerina dress from Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 is breathtaking. I am not really impartial as I dreamt of becoming a ballerina when I was a child. So everything related to that field is kind of attraction.

I was reading my tweets and a picture from OscarPRgirl sounded like a doctor’s prescription! Et voilà! The ballerina dress fashion illustration from Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012.

Dominican born fashion designer Oscar de la Renta amazed his fans with this collection. Pastel colours and full skirts are my favs! The ballerina dress on top of them, of course!

At Fashionista you can see the entire Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 collection from New York Fashion Week! Enjoy it!

Victoria silk taffeta wedding dress

I have opted for the name Victoria for the silk taffeta wedding dress below as the inspiration comes from the Victorian Age when the social class was revealed by the material and cut of the dresses. (I am easily influenced by the books I have read about that period!!!)

The silk taffeta wedding dress has not the traditional white or ivory colour. I thought the combination of taffeta and pink could add that romantic style that I was looking for the full half ruffled skirt. I love how pink fades in white. The bodice has a heart-shaped neckline and is covered with crystals.

The Victoria silk taffeta wedding dress wouldn’t have completed without a short silk tulle veil covered with crystals.

The groom wears a black tuxedo with antique gold bottons which focus attention on the gold embroired silk shirt. The metallic silk tie adds the shiny effect.

As I love pink I have been asked if that was my dream wedding dress…no, nothing has been planned in my mind… That day has not come yet! ;-)

Glitter on your feet with Miu Miu Glitter and Suede Booties

I am quite obsessed with paillettes (French for sequins) and attracted by everything that sparkles! When I enter a shop and spot something that sparkles I find it very difficult to resist the urge of trying it on, whatever it is! I guess that feeling would come around at the sight of designer Miuccia Prada’s latest effort for these winter cold spells: the Miu Miu glitter and suede booties.

Made in Italy, MIu Miu glitter and suede booties not only come in a variety of colours such as silver or gold, but they are also available in different styles.

If an Oscar was created for the shoe category, Miu Miu, who was launched in 1992 as an affordable brand to appeal to younger customers, would definitely received a nomination for the best innovative style of the A/W 2011/2012 shoe collection.

Only the ankle boots (=stivaletti alla caviglia) with curved heels!!! Distrust all imitations such as the Top Shop’s version of Miu Miu glitter and suede booties!!!

Give your feet a feline look with Luciano Padovan leopard print shoes

I have never seriously considered wearing leopard print shoes and any leopard print outfit. I have always thought that the leopard print was a bit agressive for me. BUT I have recently changed my mind. Italian shoe and bag brand Luciano Padovan, whose second flasgship store opened in Rome in 2005, did something different in his A/W 2011/1012 collection.

I simply couldn’t help but fall in love with those leopard print shoes (= scarpe maculate). What adds the wow effect is the combination of the sole red colour and the black suede fabric with the printing in cotton.

Loved by Italian and international celebrities, Luciano Padovan on your feet makes your look sexy and absolutely feminine! Day and night! For a party or a business meeting!

Sale season. So if you like those leopard print shoes, grab them from Le Follie Shop! 50% discount!!!

Have you got a pair of leopard print shoes in your closet?

Michela silk crepe wedding dress

The title says a lot about this bridal illustration. It takes its name from my friend’s name Michela who got married a few months ago in my home town and whose silk crepe wedding dress inspired the bridal illustration. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the ceremony, but looking at the pictures when I came back she looked so happy and gorgeous in her silk crepe wedding dress as every bride in her day!

The choice of the wedding dress was quite a surprise to me! I didn’t think she would have chosen a heart-shaped neckline dress (= vestito con scollatura a forma di cuore). In particular, she decided to customize it with a tulle overlay embellished with three-dimensional flower appliqués which recall her love for nature. The same delicate flower motif also appears on her short hair.

The transparency on her sleeves in contrast with the pure silk crepe fabric of the wedding dress create an exquisite and romantic look.

Wishing you both all the best for your future!

Romeo: the White Horse I Love

The inspiration of the white horse illustration comes after a visit to some friends, not far from where I lived. They lived in a beautiful country villa surrounded by lots of m2 of land where they had a stable for horses. The father and the son usually participated in horse competitions or shows, so they had to prepare and train a lot during the year.

My favourite is Romeo, the white horse that only one of the family’s member rode. That’s curious that only that guy “was allowed” to ride by the horse!!! I enjoyed very much feeding special treats like pieces of carrots to Romeo!!!

I love having them around and stroking their coat. They have those dark big eyes that I feel they can talk to me at some point!!! Magic!

The girl wears il cappello da cowboy! (cowboy hat)
